Primary and Nursery School

Y1

Hello and Welcome to Year 1!

We are very excited to have all the children safely back at school and already they have settled quickly into a lovely routine!! In Year 1, we are striving to be the very best we can by following our school rules'Ready, Respect & Safe'.

We are also lucky to have Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Roebuck supporting us in class.

Below you will find some information/stories to support your child through this worrying time! Please speak to us if you have any concerns. You will also find some information on phonics, year 1 common exception words which the children need to practise reading and spelling. Please support your child with this.

Reading books will be changed on a Monday, however, please could your child bring their books to school every day. The children have a challenge of reading 5 times a week at home and if this is recorded in their planners/diaries by yourselves the children will receive 5 Dojo's as well as a sticker! There is also lots of information in the back of their 'planners/diaries' that can support them with their learning at home.

Click onto the class pages to find out more about your child's class!

Thank you for your continued support smiley Miss Johal & Miss Stevenson
