Dear Parents and carers
It is with great sadness and disappointment that I attach the report from the Ofsted inspection in November 2021. As a result of this judgement, the school will be subject to an academy order – this means that the Regional Schools Commissioner will be allocating a Trust to sponsor us. You will remember that we had previously been looking into different Trusts, we will no longer have any choice in the Trust that the school will join.
The school has already begun to implement a robust action plan to address the areas of improvement required, with a focus on safeguarding. Staff have received further training and significant changes have been made to the curriculum in order that we rapidly address the issues raised.
During the pandemic, staff have worked tirelessly to ensure that the needs of the children have been met, so we are hugely disappointed with the outcome of the report.
I am sure that you will have questions and want to discuss the report, and so there will be a meeting on Thursday 20th January at 5.30pm in the school hall to enable you to ask your questions. Due to space we will only be able to accommodate 1 person per family and the meeting is not suitable for children (this includes babies). Please reply to this email letting us know if someone from your family will attend and who that will be. In line with the school’s risk assessment, we ask that all attending wear face masks whilst inside the building.
Please feel free to talk to SLT when you see us at the beginning and the end of the day if you are unable to make the meeting in order that your questions are answered.
