DT Intent Statement
Our DT curriculum aims to provide children with the skills and knowledge to be designers, creators and experimenters. Our core values of caring, thriving, community, respect, ready and safe underpin the learning our children receive to be the best that they can be.
Our DT learning follows the design, make, evaluate cycle allowing children to design within a real life, purposeful and relevant context. As 'makers' children can freely choose tools in a safe supported environment to fulfil their design brief. As 'evaluators', children should experience reflection and opportunities to improve their work against their original design.
