My School Fund Initiative

Summer 2

Hello! I hope you have all enjoyed the sunshine this week - it has been glorious hasn't it? I have certainly enjoyed getting my vitamin D - spending time with the horses and getting jobs done at the field. I trust that the children are looking forward to returning to school on Monday - staff are excited to see the children again.

Sadly, Miss Johal remains absent from work as we go into the final half term of the year. We know that a string of supply is not good for the children, so we have moved Mrs Roberts into Gruffalo's class for this half term. Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Roebuck will remain supporting across year 1. I'm sure that Mrs Roberts will soon know all the children really well - something she is very good at.

Mrs Harley and Mrs Amos will remain with Go-Getters to ensure that their last half term is not disrupted.

Last half term, we had a number of children attending school with a variety of broken bones. Whilst this is not a problem at all, we ask that you contact a member of the Senior Leadership Team to discuss this prior to them coming to school. We have to complete a risk assessment for each child and need a discussion with you to enable us to complete this BEFORE they come to school. This information is shared with the relevant staff to ensure that the child is appropriately supported whilst at school. Take it from someone who knows, simple tasks like going to the toilet become tricky with a broken arm/collar bone!!

Our year 6 children are entering the final half term at BFPNS. The children have been in discussions with the staff about how they wanted celebrate their journey and time at BFPNS. A number of suggestions have been out forward from the children and staff are finalising the plans, which will be shared with you shortly. It is important that the children and staff celebrate this passage of time, giving the children their final memories of their primary education.

Inevitably there will be many more messages to share with you, but they can wait until next week.

Have a fab weekend - see you all on Monday smiley

EYFS Bubble

Good news - the recent positive case in EYFS that closed the bubble, has been reversed thanks to the negative PCR test. So those of you who have children who have been isolating are now free to go out and about - within the guidelines of course!

Enjoy the sunshine - sun cream is definitely needed, it's hot, hot, hot!!
