On behalf of the SBAP could I ask you to pass on my apologies to all parents and staff.
As a result of the guidelines received regarding the Corona Virus I am having to make the difficult decision to cancel the current SBAP facilitated parenting programmes currently running at Quarrydale Academy, Kingsway Primary and New Woods Children's Centre.
We will of course be contacting parents to invite them to the June courses once restrictions are lifted, hopefully they will be lifted by June and services can go back to normal.

Unfortunately and with great regret we have taken the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Parent Conference in light of the developing situation with the Coronavirus. This decision was not taken lightly and was informed by the latest government and Public Health England advice regarding social distancing and avoiding large social gatherings. We have also been mindful of the fact that parents and carers who were planning to attend the conference may have children who have underlying health conditions or compromised immune systems which could make them more vulnerable.
We will be contacting parents and carers who have already applied for place at the conference to let them know that the event is cancelled. We will also be updating the entry on Nottinghamshire’s SEND Local Offer website to notify people visiting the site that conference has been cancelled. Could we also please enlist the help of your school in letting parents and carers know that the conference will not now be proceeding.
We are hopeful that it will be possible to reschedule the event for later in the year. We will however need to see how the situation unfolds and explore what the availability would be for our key note speaker and workshop providers when the current recommended restrictions on large gatherings are relaxed. We will make sure that schools are advised of any alternative date, as and when one is identified.
