Literacy/Project

Monday:

Today we would like you to reflect on the time we have not been at school.

What has been your favourite activity to do?

This could have been part of your online learning or just something you have done at home with your family.

Can you draw a picture and write a sentence about what your favourite thing to do was?

Remember to use your phonics to help you sound out.

This is mine:

My favourite thing to do has been to go on walks and explore.

Tuesday:

Now today I want us to imagine all of the things that we do if we could.

We have found an amazing book

Just Imagine

Click on the photo below to take you to a video of an adult reading it.

If you could be anything at all? What would it be?

Would you be big? Would you be small? Would you be an animal? Would you be made entirely from Jelly?

Can you draw a picture and write a sentence?

Remember to use your phonics to help you sound out.

I have set this is as a task on Purple Mash if you would like to do it on there smiley

Wednesday:

Now that you have imagined what you would be.

Can you have a go at turning yourself into it?

I would like you to make your own outfit using things from around your house.

What could you use?

Can you make your own props?

We would love to see a picture when you are all dressed up!

Thursday:

Now you have turned yourself into something. Where would you like to live?

Would you live underground?

Would you live in a forest?

Would you live in the sea?

Would you live in a castle?

Would you live in Africa?

Would you live in the Arctic?

Is it the same or different to where you live now?

Can you make a model of where you would like to live?

Then make a list of the similarities and differences between your house and the place you would want to live?

Friday:

So now you know who you want to be and where you would live.

Can you make a story?

What would happen?

Who else might be in your story?

You could even act this out using the model you made.

Can you draw and write your story in the storyboard or in your book?

Remember this is using our imagination so we might want to use the words 'Once upon a time'.

We need to think of what might happen at the beginning, middle and end.
