Welcome to the Navigators
Your Class Teacher is Mr Wood. We are also supported in our learning by Mrs Hackett and Mrs Walton some days too.
We started off well this year and need to continue that determined and resilient approach as we make our way through the rest of Spring Term- let's keep making lots of progress!
This half term our Geography focus is continuing with Mountains, Rivers and the Water Cycle and our Art work will be looking at Texture, Layering and Collage.

In English, we will be continuing working with the very talented writer Pie Corbett covering a variety of writing styles, including Poetry, Explanation Texts and Fiction Story Writing.
In Science, this half term is focused on 'Forces'. We will look at Gravity, Air resistance, Friction and experiment with levers and pulleys.
Reading
Please listen to or encourage your child to read at least 3 x a week and record it in their reading planner. Navigators change their reading books on a Wednesday each week. Please make sure that your child has their reading planner in school every day to support with our monitoring and allow us to sign them also.
Online Learning/ homework
There are weekly spellings available on Spelling Shed and weekly times tables to practise on Purple Mash or Times Tables Rockstars so please make sure that your child uses these websites at least once a week too.
PE
Our PE day is Friday. Please send your children into school wearing their PE kit on these days. If it is cooler that day please ensure your child is wearing navy or black jogging bottoms, their school jumper and trainers.
I look forward to the rest of our Spring Term together
Essentials
Please make sure your child only brings a water bottle, packed lunch (if they have one), their book bag (including their reading planner everyday) and their coat. Please check your child has not taken any small toys, lip glosses or sweets with them in the morning.
I look forward to our year together
